A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Islamabad between the District Health Office and Al Kauthar International Hospital under a Public–Private Partnership to establish an Expanded Programme on Immunization facility at Kosar Hospital.
The collaboration is designed to strengthen routine immunization services and improve vaccination coverage for children by providing a dedicated EPI Center at Kosar Hospital, improving access to life-saving vaccines for families across the district.
The MoU signing meeting was chaired by Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, who reaffirmed the commitment to safeguarding child health through enhanced vaccine access. The partnership aims to coordinate public health resources with private sector capacity to make immunization services more consistent and reachable.
By focusing on routine vaccination delivery, vaccine availability and local engagement, the initiative seeks to raise coverage rates among children and support Islamabad’s broader child health objectives through this public private partnership.
