Sidra Jalil has been elected as the next president of OPEN Islamabad and will serve as President-Elect during the current transition, formally assuming office on April 6, 2026. Her appointment signals a renewed emphasis on technology policy and community-led innovation in the capital.

With more than 15 years in the technology sector, Sidra Jalil combines corporate leadership and public-sector experience. She founded InspireMill to introduce digital tools that empower rural women and youth, led AI-driven platform safety and policy for South Asia at TikTok, and drove national marketing strategies for Pakistan’s IT sector while at the Pakistan Software Export Board.

“My vision for OPEN Islamabad is to transition the chapter into a powerhouse of influence, where our expertise shapes national policy and our members lead the global frontier of emerging tech,” Sidra Jalil said, underscoring a commitment to build on the chapter’s 12-year legacy and expand its international reach.
