FGEHA sectors development in F-14 and F-15 begins as NLC starts work on 11,000 plots; Minister vows fair compensation and timely completion

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority has formally restarted development activity in Sectors F-14 and F-15, Islamabad, with a ground-level inauguration at the project site. Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada unveiled a commemorative plaque and participated in a tree planting ceremony alongside Secretary Housing and Works Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Mehmood, MNA Anjum Aqeel and Malik Ibrar Ahmed.

Under a new agreement the National Logistics Corporation will execute and complete the development works in both sectors, bringing renewed momentum to the stalled projects. The Minister noted that the FGEHA sectors, originally launched in 2015, faced administrative and legal delays but are now moving forward with clear timelines and contractor oversight.

Officials highlighted that Sectors F-14 and F-15 cover a prime site in Islamabad and comprise approximately 11,000 residential plots spread over 10,875 kanals. The scale of the project makes the efficient execution by NLC central to meeting expectations for infrastructure, road networks and utilities for future allottees.

The Minister assured that fair compensation will be provided where applicable and reiterated a commitment, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, to transparent, efficient and timely completion of all development work. He also commended the FGEHA legal team for resolving hurdles and urged allottees to make timely payments of their installments to avoid delays in delivery.

Representation from the housing authority and the contractor underlined coordinated action on stakeholder concerns. DG FGEHA Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Commander Engineer NLC Brigadier Muhammad Salman Malik addressed the gathering, while the Secretary stressed that grievances of landowners, allottees, contractors and FGEHA will be addressed promptly to keep the work on schedule.

The relaunch of work in these FGEHA sectors is presented as a significant step toward delivering long-awaited housing solutions for federal employees and consolidating progress on a large-scale residential development in the capital.
