SIFC MoUs link TÜME, PARC and GCLI to advance technology-driven agriculture and livestock collaboration between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The Special Investment Facilitation Council facilitated the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between Türkiye’s Agricultural Technologies Cluster (TUME) and the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), and between TUME and the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) to deepen bilateral cooperation in agriculture and livestock development.

The agreement between TUME and PARC establishes a formal framework for agricultural research collaboration, innovation and technology transfer. Areas of cooperation include advanced livestock breeding, precision and smart agriculture, climate-resilient farming practices, food processing and value addition, along with capacity building through technical exchange to support Pakistan’s sectoral modernization efforts.

The MoU between TUME and GCLI targets modern corporate livestock farming, promoting the adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable production systems. It emphasises development of export-oriented value chains to boost productivity, competitiveness and market access for Pakistan’s livestock sector while encouraging private-sector participation.

The signings took place in the presence of the National Coordinator of SIFC, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, and senior officials from the Ministry of National Food Security & Research, PARC, GCLI and TUME. Observers said the SIFC role was instrumental in enabling institutional coordination, accelerating cross-border partnerships and fostering an investor-friendly ecosystem.

The SIFC MoUs underline a shared commitment by Pakistan and Türkiye to strengthen institutional linkages and pursue technology-driven, sustainable growth in agriculture and livestock for mutual economic benefit, with a particular focus on capacity building and commercialization of joint innovations.
