UC-09 water residents protest after tube well motor failure as leaders demand WASA replace the motor and restore supply before Ramadan hardships deepen.

Residents of UC-09 Badr Colony in Rawalpindi staged a protest after a prolonged suspension of supply left many households without running water, with locals blaming the Water and Sanitation Agency for failing to repair a faulty tube well motor. The disruption has stirred frustration across the neighbourhood as people seek urgent relief.

Homes along streets 17 and 18 and adjoining lanes near the drain have reportedly gone without water for days, creating acute hardship for families. The shortage has been especially difficult to bear during the holy month of Ramadan, when regular access to water is critical for daily and religious needs.

Chairman of the Citizen Action Committee, Zaheer Ahmad Awan, told residents that tube well motors have been burning out frequently across the city, contributing to widespread inconvenience. He demanded the immediate replacement of the damaged motor and restoration of uninterrupted UC-09 water supply to ease mounting public distress.

Protesters warned that if the motor is not replaced by tomorrow they will hold a strong demonstration outside the WASA office. Local residents have also appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab and other concerned authorities to take notice and ensure a prompt solution so normal water services can resume without further delay.
