PMAS Arid University Officials Depart for Umrah

PMAS Arid University officials Dr Nadeem Ahmed Malik and Dr Waris Ali depart for Umrah after a farewell ceremony where leaders presented garlands and offered prayers.

A dignified farewell ceremony at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi marked the departure of senior officials travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman personally saw off Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Malik, Director IT Services, and Dr. Waris Ali, Director Procurement, in the company of university leaders.

The Registrar, deans, directors and faculty members joined the gathering to offer prayers and present garlands as a gesture of respect and goodwill. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the officials on being granted the opportunity to undertake the sacred journey and extended his best wishes for safe travel and a spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.

During the ceremony Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman requested the travelling officials to remember the university and the country in their supplications, asking them to offer special prayers for the progress, stability and prosperity of the institution and the nation while they are in the Holy Land. The university community collectively prayed for the acceptance of their Umrah and their safe return.

The send-off reflects the close collegial spirit at PMAS Arid University, where senior staff are accorded formal courtesy and communal support as they undertake important personal and spiritual journeys.
