The global music platform Humnava has unveiled Noor-e-Nazar, an Urdu love song recorded live at Gulmit Old House in Gulmit, Hunza Nagar. Noor-e-Nazar draws its emotional core from a local Hunza marriage ritual in which the newlywed couple makes roti together, a quiet symbol of partnership, vulnerability, and shared life that the song treats as a meditation on companionship and equality.

Produced and curated by Xulfi and Sherry Khattak, Noor-e-Nazar features the voices of Noman Asmet and Noorima Rehan and an ensemble of musicians including Sherry Khattak, Amine Laroug, Melvin Arthur, Muhammad Hunaid, Adnan Karim, Lina Belaid, Blaise Merlin and Dorian Jonas Goetsh. The track brings together contributors from Pakistan, Algeria and Europe to form a sound that is rooted in Hunza yet expansive in its global reach.

Xulfi, co-founder and creative director of Humnava, said the Hunza ritual of making a roti together inspired the song because it embodies a practical, everyday idea of companionship. He described the project as a way to remind listeners of how honesty, friendship and shared effort sustain relationships. With singers from Hunza leading the melody, the team sought voices that could convey the song’s delicate emotional texture.

Noor-e-Nazar was written by Shajar Hussaini, Imran Ullah Hunzai (Ramz), Ali Raza and Xulfi, and composed by Ali Raza, Shjr Hussain and Xulfi. Music arrangement is credited to Xulfi and Sherry Khattak, with production and mixing by Xulfi and mastering by Mike Hinton at MSTRD Mastering, London. The music video was directed by Aamir Mughal with consulting direction from Xulfi and post-production by Mehroz Raza; the visual team also included Leonardo Mareso on grade, Hashim Ali on production design, Sara Vohra on art direction and Wajeeha Badar on styling, with Ambiance Hotel Hunza as hospitality partners.

This release is part of Humnava’s first season, a collaborative chapter set in Hunza that gathered more than 30 musicians and creatives from Pakistan, France, Germany, Algeria and Zambia for an immersive camp focused on musical exchange and cultural dialogue. Noor-e-Nazar serves as the emotional spine of this chapter and will be followed by other Season 1 tracks that continue to explore place, tradition and transnational collaboration.

For audiences in Pakistan and beyond, Noor-e-Nazar offers a listening experience that ties a specific Hunza ritual to a broader conversation about love and partnership. The song and its video are available now to watch on YouTube, stream on Spotify and enjoy across broadcast platforms.
