The Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) conducted its Oath Taking Ceremony at FAST University, Islamabad on 28th April 2026, marking a formal handover to newly elected executive members. HE Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, acted as Patron in Chief and administered the oaths to the incoming team.
Ambassador Akamatsu highlighted that MAAP Pakistan serves as a vital bridge between Japan and Pakistan, offering a platform for alumni engagement and cooperative initiatives. He expressed his best wishes for the new executive body and encouraged continued collaboration with the Embassy to foster joint research, innovation and people-to-people exchanges.
The gathering underscored practical opportunities to advance cooperation in IT and AI and to strengthen educational ties through shared projects and institutional links. MAAP Pakistanโs renewed leadership will work alongside the Embassy to facilitate partnerships that support research, innovation and exchange between the two countries.
