FPCCI TDD MoU Targets $100M in China Trade

FPCCI TDD MoU aims to boost China trade by $100M through B2B matchmaking and cooperation across energy, IT, health and textiles.

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Beijing TDD E-Commerce Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of IBI Group, targeting an annual business value of USD 100 million to expand China-Pakistan trade and investment under the FPCCI TDD MoU.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Tariq Khan Jadoon, Vice President of FPCCI, on behalf of President Atif Ikram Sheikh, and by Ms. Liu Junzhai, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI Group, Founder and CEO of TDD.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh, Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Industry and Production Haroon Akhtar, and H.E. Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China.

Senior FPCCI representatives and regional chamber leaders present included Karim Aziz Malik, Malik Sohail Hussain, Mian Zahid Hussain, Shukat Usman, Sohail Altaf, Ms. Samina Fazil, Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Sardar Saqib Naseem, Dost Ali Jan and Asif Javed, reflecting broad private sector engagement in the initiative.

Under the terms of the FPCCI TDD MoU, IBI Group and FPCCI will jointly promote bilateral trade across ten key industrial sectors, including Renewable Energy, IT and Digital Services, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Automotive and EVs, Textiles and Engineering, with emphasis on intensive B2B matchmaking and industrial cooperation to strengthen economic ties.

Officials said the collaboration is designed to open new market access for Pakistani exporters, accelerate technology partnerships and attract targeted Chinese investment to support industrial growth in the prioritized sectors.
