Exam Integrity enforced across Punjab with digital surveillance, surprise inspections and legal action under Maryam Nawaz Sharif's directives to end booti mafia.

The Rawalpindi education board has intensified efforts to protect exam integrity across the district, implementing digital surveillance, special monitoring teams and a strict zero tolerance policy to curb the booti mafia and other illegal activities during the Intermediate first annual examinations 2026.

Under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and following firm directives from Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, authorities have ordered immediate legal action against those found involved in exam irregularities. The emphasis on exam integrity is being enforced through coordinated administrative measures and rapid response procedures at examination centres.

Commissioner and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Board, Engineer Aamir Khattak, has led the development of a comprehensive, integrated and foolproof examination strategy to ensure fairness and discipline. His team has focused on strengthening security arrangements, enhancing staff performance monitoring and ensuring equal opportunity for every candidate in a transparent environment.

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan conducted surprise visits to multiple examination centres to review operational arrangements and discipline. Inspectors examined the exam atmosphere, security measures, staff conduct and facilities provided to candidates at centres including Government Associate College for Women Balkassar, Government Associate College for Boys Chowah Syedan Shah and Government Associate College for Women Chowah Syedan Shah (Centre B).

Officials say the combination of modern digital monitoring, active field teams and clear legal consequences is designed to deter networks that facilitate cheating and protect merit. The board has reiterated its commitment to uphold exam integrity and continue targeted crackdowns without discrimination to deliver a fair assessment process for all students.
