Seven MPhil students from the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education successfully completed their final MPhil defense on 06 June 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Mehwish Manzoor (Postdoc). The successful defense highlights the candidates’ rigorous research and sustained commitment to advancing knowledge in sports science.
The MPhil defense showcased a range of research topics and methodological rigor, reflecting the scholars’ hours of preparation, perseverance and academic discipline. Their work demonstrates both scholarly excellence and a clear passion for contributing to the field of Sports Science within Pakistan’s higher education sector.
The evaluation panel included Dr. Bilal Khan, Registrar and Director BASAR, and external examiners Dr. Safdar Baloch and Dr. Asghar Khan. Their constructive feedback and encouragement played an important role in the robustness of the examination process and the overall success of the defense proceedings.
Supervisor Dr. Mehwish Manzoor provided sustained guidance throughout the research journey, mentoring the scholars through design, analysis and presentation. The collaborative environment and expert oversight helped the candidates meet the high standards expected in an MPhil defense.
