The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation and Movenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad formalised a partnership at a signing ceremony in the hotel’s Capital Ballroom. The OPF MOU was signed by Mr. Mustafa Haider, Director General (Welfare & Services) OPF, and Mr. Nicolas Verdun, General Manager of Movenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad, to extend hospitality benefits to Overseas Pakistanis and their families.

Under OPF’s flagship Discount Program for Overseas Pakistanis & Their Families, the arrangement will provide special rates and privileges across accommodation, food and beverage outlets, hall rentals, health club facilities, spa and salon services, and other hotel offerings. The agreement aims to make returns to Pakistan more welcoming and cost-effective for expatriate communities.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of Centaurus Group and CEO of Movenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad, who also serves as National Coordinator and Advisor on Tourism to the Prime Minister, underlined the wider value of such initiatives. He said, “Overseas hospitality initiatives are highly beneficial in strengthening connections with the global Pakistani community, reinforcing both emotional and economic links with their homeland.”

Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of OPF, emphasised the economic contribution of expatriates, noting that their remittances are essential to national stability and growth. He added that improving facilitation and services for overseas Pakistanis remains a priority for the foundation.

Mr. Nicolas Verdun said the hotel is proud to deepen its engagement with the Overseas Pakistani community through this collaboration. “This initiative reflects our commitment to offering enhanced hospitality experiences, exclusive benefits, and a true sense of belonging whenever they return home,” he stated. With a legacy spanning more than 75 years, Movenpick continues to blend generous hospitality with culinary innovation, and the OPF MOU is intended to bring those standards to a wider group of returning Pakistanis.
