SAP Pakistan Reinforces AI Powered Digital Future

SAP Pakistan pledges investment in cloud, Business AI and local talent to accelerate digital transformation and economic growth.

Augusta Spinelli, Regional President for SAP EMEA, visited Islamabad to reaffirm SAP Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the country’s digital transformation and economic growth. The visit included a meeting with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss how emerging technologies can drive innovation, competitiveness and workforce readiness for an AI-powered future.

Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja welcomed SAP’s role in advancing technology adoption, noting that Pakistan’s young, technology-savvy population and progressive policies create strong momentum. She said, “We are looking at organizations to harness the power of data, cloud and AI to drive innovation, efficiency and economic opportunity. We appreciate the key contributions made by SAP to build a more connected, competitive and future-ready Digital Nation Pakistan.” This endorsement underlined the local relevance of SAP Pakistan’s efforts.

SAP emphasized that AI, cloud and trusted business data form the foundations organisations need to translate innovation into measurable outcomes. Augusta Spinelli highlighted that across EMEA companies are turning to Business AI and integrated cloud solutions to unlock new levels of performance, and she identified Pakistan as a vibrant market with a strong talent base.

Ahmed Al-Faifi, Managing Director and Senior Vice President of SAP Middle East and Africa – North, said, “As organizations across Pakistan accelerate their digital transformation initiatives, we see tremendous opportunities to combine Business AI with trusted business data and enterprise applications to deliver meaningful outcomes.” He stressed that transforming data into actionable insights and automating routine processes will help local organisations compete and grow.

SAP Pakistan also outlined plans to support small and medium-sized businesses through solutions such as GROW with SAP to enable cloud ERP adoption, process standardisation and access to AI, analytics and automation innovations. Saqib Sabah, Head of MEA North Growth Cluster and Managing Director of Pakistan at SAP, noted that organisations are moving beyond digitisation toward intelligent, data-driven operations that deliver greater efficiency and agility.

Through partnerships with customers, local partners and academic institutions, SAP Pakistan said it will continue to invest in developing digital skills and building trusted digital foundations. These efforts aim to help public and private sector organisations harness Business AI, cloud and enterprise applications to boost productivity, resilience and long-term economic impact.
