The Vice Chancellor underlined the role of alumni as ambassadors of the university and stressed the importance of sustainable connections with graduates across Pakistan and overseas. Participants agreed that every department and institute will appoint a focal person responsible for alumni engagement, communication and the establishment of an Alumni Scholarship and Student Support Fund to assist deserving students.

To promote regular contact and knowledge exchange, departments were directed to hold an annual alumni dinner, reunion, seminar or networking event aimed at fostering professional, academic and social interaction between current students and graduates. These gatherings are expected to create mentoring opportunities and encourage collaboration between alumni and faculty.

Recognising the rising number of alumni living abroad, the Vice Chancellor asked departmental focal persons to identify overseas graduates and support the formation of alumni groups and chapters in key countries. These international networks will bolster the university’s global presence and create channels for academic, research and professional linkages that benefit students and staff alike.

The Vice Chancellor also instructed the Director Financial Assistance and relevant offices to enhance communication with alumni through updated databases, digital platforms, newsletters and social media. Meeting participants reaffirmed their commitment to turning the alumni network into an active, contributing community that supports institutional development, student success and national progress.
