Speaker Ayaz Sadiq takes notice of the fake appointment letter case.

Islamabad, July 4, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has taken strong notice of the misuse of the National Assembly Secretariat’s name through a forged appointment and offer letter, along with the alleged misuse of the official status of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly Secretariat said a person named Abdul Wajid, a resident of district Ghotki, falsely presented himself as a Grade-17 employee of the National Assembly and used a forged appointment letter issued in the name of the Secretariat. The letter also carried forged signatures of the Speaker National Assembly.

According to the Secretariat, the accused allegedly misled government officials and police authorities by claiming this fake status and reportedly obtained undue privileges and protocol. He was also reportedly involved in harassing and pressuring citizens through different means, which caused concern among the public.

The Secretariat clarified that Abdul Wajid has no connection with the National Assembly Secretariat and there is no record of his appointment or employment in the National Assembly. It said the appointment letter being used was completely fake and had no legal or official standing.

On the directions of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Acting Secretary National Assembly has written to the Director General FIA and the Inspector General of Sindh Police, requesting legal action against Abdul Wajid, tracing the source of the forged letter, identifying those involved, and taking strict action under the relevant laws.

The National Assembly Secretariat said the FIA acted promptly on its complaint and arrested the accused. Legal proceedings are underway, while investigations are also in progress to trace the source of the forged appointment letter and identify any other individuals involved.

The Secretariat further said that preparing or using forged documents in the name of the National Assembly Secretariat, the Speaker National Assembly, or any official authority is a serious and punishable offence. It said strict legal action will be taken against such elements without discrimination.

It also urged the public and government institutions to verify the authenticity of any appointment letter, offer letter or official document said to be issued by the National Assembly Secretariat from the concerned authorities, and to report any suspicious or forged document to the relevant law enforcement agencies.
