Four matches were decided on the third day of the Prime Minister National Under-21 Women’s Hockey Championship 2026 at Nasir Bunda Hockey Stadium in Islamabad, with several teams registering one-sided wins and young players making their mark in the women’s hockey event.
KPK B produced the most dominant performance of the day, beating Sindh A 6-0. Sawera starred with a hat-trick, while Samar netted two goals and Rasheeda added one to complete the emphatic victory.
In the second match, Olympian Zakir Women’s Academy overpowered Star Women’s Academy A by the same 6-0 margin. Sobia led the attack with three goals, and Sehrish, Rubesha and Ruqaiya each found the net once to keep the pressure on throughout the contest.
Gilgit-Baltistan also impressed in the third fixture, defeating Star Women’s Academy B 3-0. Arsheela was the standout scorer with two goals, while Salsabeela contributed the third to secure a comfortable result in the women’s hockey championship.
The final match of the day saw Sindh B claim a convincing 5-0 win against Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Umm-e-Fatima delivered a hat-trick, while Mubashna and Ashna completed the scoring as Sindh B maintained control from start to finish.
The championship brings together 16 teams from across the country, including Punjab A, Punjab B, Gilgit-Baltistan, Star Women’s Academy A and B, FD Islamabad, KPK A and B, Women’s Sports Academy Mardan, AJK A and B, Olympian Zakir Women’s Academy, Sindh A, B and C, Balochistan and Islamabad. The tournament continues to offer an important platform for emerging players to show their talent and strengthen the future of women’s hockey in Pakistan.
