Motorway Police foil bid to smuggle non-custom-paid medicines

Motorway Police recovered non-custom-paid medicines worth more than Rs1 million during patrolling on the Hakla-DI Khan Motorway.

Motorway Police foiled an attempt to smuggle non-custom-paid medicines on the Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway and recovered medicines worth more than Rs1 million, a spokesperson said.

According to the Motorway Police, officers stopped a suspicious vehicle during patrolling and conducted a search. A large quantity of non-custom-paid medicines was recovered from the vehicle.

One suspect present in the vehicle was arrested. The spokesperson said the suspect was allegedly attempting to smuggle the medicines from Zhob towards Peshawar.

The recovered medicines and the vehicle were handed over to Customs authorities for legal action.
