ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department has introduced and expanded a range of modern and convenient facilities aimed at providing faster, transparent and easier public services.

According to the department, several services have been made available online so that citizens do not have to make unnecessary visits to offices and can submit applications from home.

Citizens can visit www.islamabadexcise.gov.pk and use the Online Services section to submit online applications for transfer of ownership, generate a physical inspection ID for vehicles, check transfer fee and challan details, and access other related services.

The department has also advised citizens to install the Pak App on their mobile phones to avail different online excise facilities. Through the Pak App, citizens can pay road/token tax for their vehicles online from home, without visiting the office.

Similarly, all official fees related to transfer of ownership and new registration can also be paid through the Pak App in a secure and convenient manner.

For further public convenience, the Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department has also launched a special mobile service during weekly holidays. The mobile team will be available at F-9 Park on Saturday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and at Kachnar Park on Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

At these locations, citizens will be able to obtain services related to vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, post-transfer and other relevant excise services on the spot.

The department’s doorstep service is also continuing. Citizens seeking registration, transfer of ownership and other services at home can book an appointment by contacting the helpline at 051-111-383-383. The department’s team will visit the citizen’s residence at the scheduled time and provide the required services.

The Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department said it was committed to providing dignified, transparent and timely services through modern technology, online facilities, mobile services and doorstep services. The initiative is aimed at saving citizens’ time, reducing rush at offices and making access to government services easier and more effective.
