Pakistan, August 2026: TECNO has unveiled its latest flagship innovation, the TECNO Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone, offering a preview of the future of smartphone design and display technology.
The concept phone, featured in a newly released teaser video, removes the screen’s black borders to deliver a fully immersive viewing experience. According to the company, the device achieves a true 0mm display border, eliminating the physical black edges of the screen and setting a new design benchmark for future smartphones.
The TECNO Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone is scheduled to make its public debut at IFA 2026 ShowStoppers in September.
Over the past decade, smartphone displays have advanced significantly, with ultra-narrow bezels becoming a key feature of premium devices. However, the industry has continued to face a design limitation, as internal circuitry and safety clearances around displays have left a visible black border of around 1mm to 2mm between the active screen and the outer frame.
With the Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone, TECNO says it has removed that final visual barrier. The company said the phone reconstructs the display architecture through advanced internal stacking, structural re-engineering and new screen packaging techniques, reducing the visible black border to 0 microns, or 0mm, for the first time in global mobile engineering.
Without a visible frame limiting the display, digital content extends to the outer edges of the device, creating the effect of a screen floating in the user’s hand.
The company said the innovation would offer practical benefits for users in Pakistan, including while streaming cricket matches, watching dramas, scrolling through social media, gaming, reading and browsing photos. The borderless display allows content to fill the entire front of the device, creating a larger, clearer and more immersive viewing experience.
TECNO said the breakthrough is not limited to design and represents a new approach to how users may interact with smartphones in the AI era by reducing visual barriers between digital content and the real world.
The company added that the 0mm screen border also establishes a distinctive design language for TECNO’s future flagship devices. Core technologies developed for the concept, including advancements in cameras, touch sensitivity, optimised sound and smart UI interactions, are expected to support future TECNO devices.
As Pakistan’s smartphone market continues to adopt premium technology and AI-powered experiences, TECNO said it remains committed to introducing innovations that challenge conventional smartphone design while offering meaningful advancements for consumers.
