RAWALPINDI: Divisional President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Youth Wing Rawalpindi, Naeem Pasha, has said that August 14 symbolises Pakistan’s independence, the sacrifices of the forefathers and national unity.
In his Independence Day message, he said protecting the country and ensuring its progress, prosperity and stability was the collective responsibility of every citizen.
Naeem Pasha said the Muslim League had played a historic role in the Pakistan Movement and continued to contribute to national development. He said PML-N governments had undertaken major projects in infrastructure, roads, motorways, energy, education and healthcare.
He said the Mecca Pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye was an important step towards mutual cooperation, collective defence, unity and security among Muslim countries, and would contribute to regional peace and stability.
Referring to development projects, Naeem Pasha said the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project would help reduce traffic congestion, improve connectivity, facilitate transportation and promote commercial and economic activities in the region.
He also appreciated the development and public welfare initiatives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, particularly in infrastructure, roads, healthcare, education, youth development and civic facilities. He said continued development would support Punjab’s economic and social progress.
Naeem Pasha said August 14 was not merely a day of celebration but an opportunity to renew commitment to Pakistan. He said the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline must guide the nation, while the youth should be encouraged to play a positive and constructive role in national development.
He congratulated the nation, especially the youth, on Independence Day and prayed for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, stability and continued progress.
