ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has conferred a special award on Shehryar Memon in recognition of his services for empowering youth, particularly young entrepreneurs, while serving as focal person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan was also present at the ceremony.
The honour conferred by the Prime Minister is being described as an acknowledgement of Shehryar Memon’s efforts for guiding youth, promoting entrepreneurial abilities and helping provide them opportunities.
After receiving the award, Shehryar Memon said it was an honour for him to be recognised by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as a self-made entrepreneur. He said the appreciation he received as focal person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme was proof of recognition of his hard work, vision and consistency.
Shehryar Memon said he was deeply grateful for the honour and would continue his efforts to provide opportunities for youth to move forward. He said Pakistan’s young generation was a valuable asset for the country, and by utilising their abilities, the national economy and development process could be further strengthened.
He expressed his resolve to play a more effective role in empowering young entrepreneurs, introducing them to modern business opportunities and highlighting their capabilities.
Shehryar Memon said it was the need of the hour to bring forward youth as job creators and entrepreneurs instead of job seekers. He said a strong entrepreneurial young generation could not only improve its own future but also play a key role in stabilising the national economy and building a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
He thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the leadership of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, saying the honour was not merely an award for him but a source of strength for his commitment to further work and service for youth.
Under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, efforts are continuing to provide opportunities to young people in education, skills, employment, business and other fields. Youth empowerment is considered important for the country’s bright and economically stable future.
