RAWALPINDI: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi Chairman Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood has said that educated and upright youth are the guarantee of Pakistan’s bright future.
In his message on Independence Day, issued on August 14, 2026, Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood said freedom was a great blessing of Allah Almighty and a major national responsibility for the people of Pakistan.
He said the nation must pay tribute to the everlasting sacrifices of its forefathers and play its role for the development, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
The BISE Rawalpindi chairman said the younger generation was a precious asset of Pakistan. By adopting knowledge, character, hard work and discipline as their guiding principles, young people could lead the country towards new heights of progress, he added.
He said educational institutions had the responsibility to provide students with quality education, along with awareness of patriotism, national responsibility and positive character.
On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood hoisted the national flag at the board complex and later cut a cake to mark the day. Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan was also present on the occasion.
Special prayers were offered for the safety, progress, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
