ISLAMABAD: President Asif Zardari has approved the conferment of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh in recognition of his prominent services in the field of welfare and humanitarian work, including philanthropy.
The approval was granted on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.
Atif Ikram Sheikh has been playing an active role in philanthropic and social services in addition to his work in the business and industrial sectors.
He is also serving as Vice President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and President of the Economic Cooperation Organisation Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also performing responsibilities as head of Mujahid Group of Industries.
Atif Ikram Sheikh will receive the award from the President at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2027.
Following the approval of his name for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the FPCCI President expressed gratitude to President Asif Zardari.
“Approval of my name for the national award by the President is a matter of honour for me,” Atif Ikram Sheikh said.
He said the honour was not for him alone, but for Pakistan’s business community and all those associated with philanthropic services.
“I am deeply grateful to the President, the Prime Minister, the Government of Pakistan and all relevant institutions for the approval of my name for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz,” he said.
Atif Ikram Sheikh said his nomination for the national award would further strengthen his commitment to hard work and service to Pakistan.
