Bari Imam Urs Concludes with Prayers for Pakistan’s Security, Stability

The three-day annual Urs of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar (RA) concluded in Noor Pur Shahaan, Islamabad, with special prayers.

ISLAMABAD (City Reporter): The three-day annual Urs of the revered spiritual figure of the subcontinent, Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif, popularly known as Bari Imam Sarkar (RA), concluded in Noor Pur Shahaan, Islamabad, with special prayers for national security, progress, prosperity and stability.

The concluding ceremony was held in a spiritually uplifting and dignified atmosphere and was attended by prominent political, social, religious and business personalities, besides a large number of devotees and pilgrims from across the country.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Custodian of Bari Imam Sarkar Shrine and Baba Kalu Sarkar Raja Sarfraz Akram, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Anjum Aqeel Khan, Daniyal Chaudhary, Syed Ziaullah Shah, Syed Zeeshan Naqvi, Raja Hanif Advocate, Chaudhry Qamar, Raja Sohail, Allah Bakhsh Chaudhry, Abdul Majeed, Wasim Abbas, Zumurrad Khan, Qaiser Javed, Sohail Bhatti, Abdullah Gul, Amir Shehzad Khan, Faisal Khan, Raja Javed Ashraf, Chaudhry Wajid Ayub, Dr Riaz Shahbaz Janjua, Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Dr Raja Asif Janjua, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, Shafiq-ud-Din, Qari Ubaid-ur-Rehman Satti, Umar Farooq Qadousi, Syed Bashir Shah, Raja Shehzad Janjua, Dr Haider Janjua, Abdullah Janjua, Raja Muhammad Ayaz, Ehsan-ul-Haq Mian, Colonel Inam Rabbani and General (Retd) Abdul Janjua (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), among others, attended the ceremony.

The annual Urs of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar (RA) continued from August 15 to 17 and attracted a large number of pilgrims. During the three days, special security arrangements were made by the police and district administration around the shrine and adjoining areas for the safety and convenience of visitors.

The administration and relevant departments also ensured arrangements for langar, parking, security, traffic management, cleanliness and other basic facilities so that devotees arriving from different parts of the country faced no inconvenience.

At the concluding ceremony, religious scholars and other dignitaries paid tribute to Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar (RA) and highlighted his teachings and spiritual services, particularly his message of humanity, love, tolerance and brotherhood. Speakers said the teachings of saints and spiritual leaders provided a strong foundation for promoting peace, harmony, tolerance and brotherhood in society, and urged people to adopt these values in their daily lives.

At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the security, progress and prosperity of the country, the stability of Pakistan, unity among the Muslim Ummah, mutual brotherhood, and lasting peace and stability in the region. Participants expressed best wishes for the country’s development, prosperity and peace and appreciated the efforts of the administration and security agencies for successfully organising the annual Urs.
