Muhammad Aamir Siddiqui said the 1501st Jashn-e-Wiladat-e-Mustafa (peace be upon him) would be celebrated with devotion.

RAWALPINDI: Social leader and President of Taraqqi Pasand Falahai Tanzeem, Muhammad Aamir Siddiqui, has said that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) came as a mercy and that deep love and reverence for him is the way of the believers.

In a statement issued in connection with the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal and the arrival of Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), Aamir Siddiqui said following the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) was the path to success in this world and the hereafter. He said the protection of the honour of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was in fact the protection of Islam, adding that safeguarding the sanctity of Prophethood was part of faith.

He said all devotees of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) would celebrate the 1501st Jashn-e-Wiladat-e-Mustafa (peace be upon him) with dignity and religious fervour.

Aamir Siddiqui said it was a matter of immense gratitude that Allah Almighty had made Muslims the followers of His beloved Prophet (peace be upon him), whose Ummah even the prophets wished to be part of. He said Muslims should celebrate the arrival of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) through every permissible means and thank Allah Almighty.

He said Islam is a religion of brotherhood and Pakistan is a peace-loving country. Pakistan, he said, had rendered great sacrifices for peace across the world and the international community acknowledged these sacrifices.

Referring to the situation in flood-hit areas of the country, Aamir Siddiqui said many citizens and parts of Pakistan were facing flood-like conditions, causing loss of life and property. He said the nation stood with its affected brothers in their grief and was prepared to help them.

He said that if the world is a global village, the Muslim Ummah is like one body. Just as pain in one part of the body is felt by the whole body, he said, the Ummah feels anguish over oppression and terrorism in any part of the world, whether in Kashmir, Gaza, Palestine, Iran, Lebanon or any other region.

Aamir Siddiqui said efforts should be made with all available energies for the relief of oppressed people and to help bring them out of difficulties so that peace could be established and oppression eliminated.

He termed the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon as regrettable, saying innocent children and women were also facing oppression. He said hundreds of thousands had been wounded and several thousand martyrdoms had been reported, while the process of genocide was still continuing. Children, he added, faced difficulties in obtaining milk, food and medicines.

He said the silence of peace-loving people of the world in such circumstances was regrettable, adding that Israeli terrorism could not be condemned enough.

Aamir Siddiqui said Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza, Palestine and Lebanon were facing Israeli aggression and brutality, and the Muslim Ummah was in pain over their devastation. He said the Ummah expected its rulers to play a practical role for sustainable peace and a solution for Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon and Iran.

Regarding Iran, he said Pakistan’s efforts for peace between the United States and Iran, under Islamabad’s peace initiatives, and the appreciation of “ambassador of peace” Field Marshal General Asim Munir by Trump and the world, reflected recognition of Pakistan’s leadership role.

Aamir Siddiqui also appreciated the trilateral defence agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.
