Fire safety certificate made mandatory for Islamabad private schools

PEIRA has made fire safety certification mandatory for all private educational institutions in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has made the Fire and Life Safety Certificate mandatory for all private educational institutions in Islamabad.

In a statement, PEIRA directed all private schools to obtain the safety certificate from the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The authority said all private educational institutions must submit the fire safety NOC within 15 days.

According to the statement, private schools that fail to comply with fire safety laws will be sealed.

PEIRA has ordered strict implementation of the rules to ensure the safety of students and school staff.
