Pakistan and Poland have successfully concluded their 9th round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) in Warsaw, focusing on enhancing cooperation across diverse sectors and reaffirming commitments to bolster bilateral ties. The discussions spanned trade, investment, security, science and technology, agriculture, higher education, migration, and multilateral cooperation.
The Pakistani delegation was headed by Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), while the Polish delegation was led by Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consultations were also attended by Muhammad Sami-ur-Rehman, Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland, and Maciej Pisarski, Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan.
During the consultations, the two delegations thoroughly reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral ties, reaffirming their shared resolve to further expand cooperation. Ambassador Ayub underscored Pakistan’s keen desire to strengthen relations with Poland across multiple sectors, notably in trade and investment, energy, security and defence, science and technology, agriculture, migration and mobility, as well as higher education.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level political engagement aimed at deepening mutual understanding and cooperation. They agreed to facilitate frequent exchanges involving senior officials and parliamentary representatives, and to foster more dialogue on shared interests and mutual concerns.
Discussions also covered important regional and global developments, with particular attention to issues in South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Both delegations found considerable convergence of views on key international issues and committed to continue their cooperation and coordination at multilateral platforms, including the United Nations.
The two countries mutually agreed that the next round of political consultations will take place in Islamabad in 2026, providing a valuable opportunity to follow up on commitments and review progress in the bilateral relationship.
