The Finance Minister chaired a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Rightsizing, reviewing strategic proposals presented by key federal divisions, including the Power, Law, and Revenue Departments. The committee deliberated measures to streamline government organizational structures, enhance operational efficiency, and align departmental responsibilities more closely with national development objectives.

During the session, the committee carefully examined proposals aimed at rightsizing federal organizational structures. Special attention was directed towards eliminating redundancies, improving institutional clarity, and maximizing productivity across government departments.

Specifically addressing recommendations from the Revenue Division, the committee evaluated strategies for strengthening human resource management through performance-linked evaluations. The proposed institutional restructuring within the Revenue Division aimed to foster merit-based promotions, accountability, and improved public service delivery through clear performance metrics.

The committee stressed the necessity of coherent alignment between departmental functions and overarching national priorities. Its members committed to ensuring that proposed reforms are practical, scalable, and result-oriented, aligning fully with broader governmental goals of efficiency, transparency, and improved governance.
