Curriculum Policy Dialogue at Karachi Board of Education

A delegation led by Director of the National Curriculum Council (NCC), Dr. Tabassum Naz, conducted a policy dialogue at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Karachi, to discuss curriculum reforms. During the meeting, key stakeholders exchanged valuable insights, emphasizing the need for an inclusive, relevant, and quality education framework that aligns with Pakistan’s national priorities and realities.

Dr. Tabassum Naz headed the NCC delegation, accompanied by Deputy Education Advisor, Mr. Hanan Kakar, and other members of the NCC team. Their visit to BISE Karachi was part of an ongoing nationwide series of consultations aimed at curriculum reform and development.

Chairman of BISE Karachi, Mr. Ghulam Hussain Sahu, warmly welcomed the visitors, facilitating dialogue on critical issues surrounding the current educational curriculum. Both sides discussed the importance of making the curriculum more relevant to students’ needs, inclusive of diverse perspectives, and upholding quality educational standards.

The meeting reinforced the commitment of both NCC and BISE Karachi towards collaborative efforts in curriculum development. Such ongoing engagements highlight NCC’s proactive approach to policy-making, ensuring that educational practices and content genuinely reflect the educational demands and aspirations of Pakistan.
