The National Information Technology Board (NITB) and the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at empowering Pakistan’s workers by providing streamlined access to government services through a unified digital platform.

The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Faisal Mumtaz, Project Director at NITB, and Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, Secretary of WWF. During the ceremony, Mr. Mumtaz described the initiative as an essential step towards establishing a comprehensive national digital portal that simplifies service delivery and boosts overall efficiency.

Expressing similar optimism, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed highlighted that the collaboration will greatly benefit workers and their families by enhancing their ability to access essential welfare services digitally. He further emphasized that digital inclusion remains a crucial goal, as it directly contributes to improving the quality of life for the country’s labor community.

This partnership is considered a significant milestone for Pakistan, as it promotes digital inclusivity among workers and sets the stage for broader digitalization efforts within public service delivery systems. Through this unified digital solution, the government aims to ensure transparency, convenience, and increased effectiveness in reaching out to the nation’s workforce.
