Dr Nikhat calls for a transparent inquiry and stronger child protection after the death of Hania Ahmed in Chakwal, urging accountability and protocol reforms.

Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, MNA and Convenor of the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights, expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the death of nine-year-old Hania Ahmed, an Australian child of Pakistani origin, following a tragic incident in Chakwal. She strongly condemned the loss of an innocent child’s life and stressed that such events demand the highest sensitivity and responsibility from all involved.

Dr. Nikhat reiterated that every child has an inherent right to life, safety and protection, and that state institutions carry the collective duty to shield children from harm. She underlined the need for law enforcement operations to adopt child-sensitive approaches and strict adherence to protocols so that the safety of minors is never compromised during security interventions.

Offering heartfelt condolences to the family of Hania Ahmed, Dr. Nikhat prayed for the recovery of the child’s injured father and brother and appealed to the public to stand with the bereaved family during this painful time.
