**Annual Urs Ceremony of Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif Held Near Islamabad Airport**
The annual Urs (spiritual commemoration) of Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif, Hazrat Khwaja Diwan Syed Al Rasool Ali Khan and Hazrat Diwan Syed Al Mujtaba Ali Khan, was held with great reverence at Dargah Ma’ali Gulshan-e-Sultan ul Hind Ajmeri, located near Mohri Phatak, Fateh Jang Road, close to Islamabad Airport. The ceremony was presided over by Hazrat Khwaja Diwan Syed Al Habib Ali Khan, the current Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif.
The event drew a large gathering of religious scholars, prominent spiritual leaders, Naat reciters, and people from various walks of life from across the country. The Urs commenced at 9 AM with the traditional ‘Chadar Poshi’ (offering of ceremonial cloth) at the shrine. This was followed by Quran recitation, a session of Naat (poetic praise of the Prophet Muhammad), and speeches delivered by eminent personalities.
Pirzada Syed Al Wajeeh Mohaimi Chishti, the heir apparent and Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif, delivered an address highlighting the spiritual legacy of the shrine. Well-known Pakistani TV anchor and recipient of national and presidential awards, Ali Raza Arshad Suharwardi, paid tribute with expressions of devotion.
Before the Zuhar (midday) prayer, Hazrat Khwaja Diwan Syed Al Habib Ali Khan led a special prayer for the unity of the Muslim community and the stability and prosperity of Pakistan. After the prayers, visitors were served ‘Langar’ (community meal), marking the conclusion of the Urs celebrations.
The event served as a significant spiritual gathering, reinforcing the message of unity, peace, and devotion, and concluded peacefully with prayers and communal harmony.
