**Pakistan Showcases Youth Tech Talent at Digital Pakistan Speed Programming Competition**
Pakistan’s commitment to nurturing tech innovation among its youth was on full display at the Digital Pakistan Speed Programming Competition (DPSPC) 2025, held at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI). The event brought together talented young programmers to demonstrate their skills and highlighted ongoing efforts to prepare a new generation of technology leaders.
Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education & Professional Training, attended the event and commended the accomplishments of Pakistan’s youth in driving the country’s technology revolution. She emphasized the critical role of digital literacy and programming in shaping the nation’s future workforce.
Organized by Ignite – National Technology Fund under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, DPSPC 2025 also included a significant industry-academia collaboration. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and GIKI, aiming to strengthen ties between the academic and corporate sectors. This partnership is expected to foster innovation, offer practical learning opportunities, and enhance employment prospects for students in the technology sector.
The competition culminated in the recognition of young achievers who displayed outstanding programming skills, reinforcing Pakistan’s pursuit of a digitally empowered society. The DPSPC stands as another milestone on the journey to achieving the goals of the #DigitalPakistan initiative, spotlighting the country’s future-ready talent and the expanding ecosystem supporting technological advancement.
