The SGF team recently took part in the Flood 2022 Provincial Learning Forum, an event organized by MetaMeta in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Sindh, and the Dutch Disaster Risk Reduction and Surge Support (DRRS) program. The forum provided stakeholders with a platform to exchange knowledge and insights on disaster response, risk reduction, and strategies for enhancing community resilience in the aftermath of the devastating 2022 floods in Sindh.

Participants in the event included a diverse group of experts, government officials, representatives from UN agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders. Through interactive sessions and discussions, attendees reflected on the response to the 2022 floods, analyzing both successes and challenges encountered during the emergency.

A key focus of the forum was on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), with panelists and speakers emphasizing the importance of preparedness, early warning systems, and effective coordination among stakeholders. Lessons learned from the 2022 flood response were highlighted, including the need for robust infrastructure, improved community engagement, and enhanced resource mobilization.
