Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Dr. Fouzia Siddiqui in Islamabad, with Federal Minister for Law, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, also in attendance.
During the meeting, the participants discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on Dr. Fouzia Siddiqui’s longstanding efforts for the release and welfare of her sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to extending all possible support to the Siddiqui family in their legal and diplomatic endeavors.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar briefed the participants on the ongoing legal proceedings and steps taken by the government. The meeting concluded with assurances from the Prime Minister that all diplomatic channels would continue to be utilized for the resolution of the matter, reflecting the state’s resolve to safeguard the rights and well-being of its citizens.
