**Trump Demands Silicon Valley Stop Hiring Foreign Workers, Targets Indian Tech Talent**

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong ultimatum to Silicon Valley’s biggest tech firms, urging them to stop hiring foreign workers—particularly from India—and to prioritize American talent. His remarks, delivered at a high-profile artificial intelligence (AI) summit in Washington, mark a significant escalation in his push for “America First” hiring policies within the technology sector.

In his address, Trump singled out major tech companies such as Google and Microsoft, warning them against employing professionals from abroad and instead instructing them to offer jobs exclusively to U.S. citizens. He criticized the industry’s global outlook, accusing American tech firms of taking advantage of U.S. freedoms while outsourcing factories to China, recruiting staff from India, and sheltering profits in Ireland. According to Trump, this approach undercuts American workers and undermines national interests.

To address these concerns, Trump announced the signing of three executive orders intended to overhaul tech industry practices. These directives will streamline regulations, accelerate the construction of U.S.-based data centers, and position the U.S. as a global leader in artificial intelligence. Importantly, any company seeking government funding for AI initiatives will be required to create “neutral” AI systems. The orders impose a complete ban on AI technologies that are considered “woke” or shaped by political ideology.

Trump also called on U.S. companies to focus on developing fully American-made AI technologies for sale worldwide, arguing this would cement America’s dominance in the global AI market. In a rebranding effort, he proposed referring to artificial intelligence as “Genius Technology,” emphasizing American innovation and presenting U.S. advances to the world in a more positive light.

Trump’s statements and executive actions signal a major policy shift that could present significant challenges for Indian IT professionals and outsourcing firms. Experts warn that if enacted, such measures may restrict access to U.S. tech jobs for foreign workers and could disrupt the long-standing global outsourcing model that many companies rely on.
