Federal Minister for National Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, recently met with Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication, Ayesha Raza Farooq, and National Emergency Operations Centre Coordinator, Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq, to review progress and strategies concerning the polio eradication campaign in Pakistan.
During the meeting, officials provided a detailed briefing on advances made towards eliminating polio, highlighting both achievements and ongoing challenges. The discussion included an assessment of persistent hurdles faced during immunization drives, and explored coordinated approaches to overcome these barriers.
The participants also deliberated on future strategies, reinforcing the government’s commitment to eradicating polio.
