**CDA Chairman Meets Saudi Ambassador to Discuss Strengthening Pak-Saudi Cooperation, Investment Opportunities**
Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, H.E. Nawaf bin Said Ahmed Al-Malki, at CDA Headquarters. The meeting focused on deepening bilateral cooperation, exploring investment opportunities in Islamabad’s hospitality sector, and planning for upcoming cultural celebrations.
During the meeting, both officials discussed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the management of Faisal Mosque, as well as other issues of mutual interest. Chairman Randhawa highlighted the longstanding, brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which he described as being rooted in shared faith and mutual respect. He reiterated the CDA’s commitment to further reinforce cooperation with Saudi Arabia, particularly in areas of urban development and cultural collaboration.
Ambassador Al-Malki praised the CDA’s efforts under Randhawa’s leadership for transforming Islamabad into a more beautiful and vibrant city. He noted visible improvements in the city’s urban landscape, horticulture, civic amenities, and the development of state-of-the-art projects, including the transformation of local nurseries into a “Gardenia Hub.” The ambassador also commended Islamabad’s evolving quality of life.
The meeting addressed preparations for the National Day of Saudi Arabia, with the CDA Chairman assuring the ambassador of full support and collaboration with all relevant authorities to ensure a successful celebration.
Ambassador Al-Malki reiterated Saudi Arabia’s intention to strengthen economic, cultural, and religious ties with Pakistan. He shared that meetings with major Saudi hotel investors are already planned, as part of ongoing efforts to explore opportunities in Islamabad’s hospitality sector.
Chairman Randhawa reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep respect and value for its close relationship with Saudi Arabia, assuring the ambassador that Islamabad remains welcoming to Saudi investment and cultural exchange. He emphasized that such collaborations are considered a privilege for the city.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen Pak-Saudi relations through joint initiatives in urban and economic development, as well as enhancing cultural and religious ties.
