Federal Minister Stands With Kashmiris on Youm-e-Istehsal

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, has reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, condemning India’s revocation of the region’s special constitutional status. He called India’s actions a violation of international law and UN resolutions and urged the international community to address ongoing human rights abuses in the territory.

Marking Youm-e-Istehsal, a day observed in support of Kashmiris, Minister Khichi described the anniversary of India’s actions as a tragic reminder of the oppression and denial of democratic rights faced by the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized Pakistan’s continued political, moral, and diplomatic backing for the Kashmiri cause until the right to self-determination is realized as pledged by the United Nations.

The minister praised the resilience and sacrifices of Kashmiri communities and called upon global organizations to recognize and intervene regarding the reported human rights violations in the region.

Khichi also noted that the National Heritage and Culture Division is taking active measures to preserve and promote the cultural identity of Kashmiri people. He highlighted the ongoing work to safeguard their language, traditions, and historical legacy, ensuring that their resistance and heritage remain central to national and international awareness.
