Punjab Secretary of Livestock Ahmad Aziz Tarar visited the Livestock Experimental Station (LES) in Qadirabad to review ongoing research initiatives and administrative operations at the facility. The visit focused on assessing scientific activities across the station’s various departments, including laboratories, animal sheds, and other research sections.
During the inspection, Secretary Tarar emphasized the importance of making modern livestock research accessible to small farmers. He stated that sharing advanced techniques with these farmers would help them adopt better practices and increase their productivity. He also highlighted the critical role of genetic improvement in livestock to boost milk production, encouraging the expansion of research efforts in this field.
The secretary was accompanied by Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir, Director of Breed Improvement Dr. Muhammad Sajid, and Director LPRI Bahadur Nagar Dr. Maqsood Ahmad during the visit. The team reviewed the station’s current projects and discussed strategies to further optimize the impact of livestock research across the province.
