Kazakhstan and IIUI Strengthen Academic Cooperation

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Saad Al Ahmed, the newly appointed President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), to discuss strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin congratulated Saad Al Ahmed on his new appointment and expressed confidence that the relationship between IIUI and Kazakhstan would become even stronger. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, particularly with the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and various Kazakh universities. The Ambassador provided an overview of the Congress, underlining the ongoing support and participation of IIUI’s leadership in its activities, and officially invited President Saad Al Ahmed to attend the upcoming eighth session of the Congress.

President Saad Al Ahmed confirmed his participation in the congress and expressed enthusiasm for expanding ties with Kazakh institutions. Both parties discussed future partnerships, reaching an agreement to establish a joint research center at IIUI in collaboration with a university in Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to further academic exchange and joint research between the two countries.
