A recent training camp in Korea provided elite athletes with intensive, high-level instruction alongside some of the country’s top taekwondo talent. Organized with the support of the Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association, the camp brought participants together with the renowned Pocheon City Team, Korea’s largest and only Poomsae city team, composed entirely of national team members and professional athletes.
The program focused on both recognized Poomsae and Freestyle Poomsae, offering technical and performance-based training. Athletes benefited from joint practice sessions with the Pocheon City Team, working directly with top-level competitors. Specialized guidance was also provided by a gymnastics coach to enhance freestyle and technical skills.
In addition to the primary training, participants engaged in joint sessions with Kyungdong University, located near Pocheon City, expanding the scope of their experience. The camp’s comprehensive approach included one-on-one personal coaching, which proved highly beneficial in refining athletes’ techniques.
Overall, the training camp successfully delivered efficient and meaningful development opportunities, equipping athletes with valuable experience to enhance their performance at the highest levels of taekwondo competition.
