AMMAN: Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf held a bilateral meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on August 5, 2026.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting titled “In Support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites” of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to confront illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the state of Algerian-Pakistani relations and agreed to redouble efforts to strengthen ties in all areas by activating bilateral cooperation frameworks as soon as possible.
The two sides also discussed current international and regional issues of common interest, particularly the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the Middle East were also discussed during the meeting.
