The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, earlier scheduled for August 16, will now be held on September 20, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the council, the decision was taken on the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
PM&DC said the rescheduling was aimed at ensuring the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the examination while facilitating all candidates.
The council informed candidates, parents, educational institutions and other stakeholders that all other terms, conditions and examination arrangements would remain unchanged unless notified otherwise.
Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official PM&DC website and official communication channels for further updates and instructions.
PM&DC appreciated the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders and regretted any inconvenience caused by the change.
