The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination has congratulated Prof Dr Ayesha Humayun, Chairperson and Dean of the Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI), on being featured in the 2026 Stanford University/Elsevier Top 2% Global Scientists List.
According to the ministry, the recognition marks Dr Humayun’s fifth consecutive year, from 2022 to 2026, among the world’s top researchers in Clinical and General and Internal Medicine.
The ministry said her sustained leadership and scholarly contributions continue to elevate medical research, health professions education and clinical excellence across Pakistan.
Dr Humayun’s inclusion in the global list has been described by the ministry as a matter of national pride in health sciences.
