Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi held orientation sessions to welcome newly admitted students and introduce them to university policies, academic programs, campus resources and student support services. The events brought together senior leadership and faculty to ensure a smooth transition into campus life and underscore the university’s commitment to academic excellence and modern facilities.
The sessions were organized by PMAS-AAUR and attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, the Registrar, Deans, Directors and other principal officers. Officials briefed students from various faculties and institutes on institutional rules, degree requirements and the services available to support their academic and personal development.
Speaking to the new students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman welcomed them to the university and stressed the institution’s aim to foster a stimulating academic environment that promotes innovation and personal growth. He highlighted the university’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities and an inclusive campus culture where students can pursue their goals and develop across disciplines.
Deans, Directors and principal officers provided faculty-specific information and clarified key policies, academic procedures and expectations. Information desks were set up across faculties and institutes to offer personalized guidance, while faculty and administrative staff remained available throughout the day to answer questions and assist students with registration, orientation logistics and other needs.
The orientation program was designed to help new students acclimate quickly to university life by supplying practical information and direct points of contact for ongoing support.
