The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is set to launch its Benazir Kitchen Employment Pilot Project in Rawalpindi’s NA-56 constituency, aiming to empower women by providing them with skills training and entrepreneurial opportunities. Chairperson of BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, made this announcement, stating that the project’s success in Rawalpindi will lead to its expansion across the country.

During a meeting with a local delegation, accompanied by Pakistan Peoples Party ticket holder Sameera Gul, Senator Khalid explained that the program will target women and girls who are already benefiting from BISP. Around 500 women and girls in NA-56 will receive employment training and support to develop their business skills, along with financial assistance to help them start their ventures.

Sameera Gul informed the chairperson about various challenges faced by women in her constituency regarding BISP programs. Senator Khalid expressed her gratitude to the delegation, giving assurances that the pilot project will soon commence and reaffirming BISP’s commitment to supporting women’s economic empowerment.

Senator Khalid emphasized her vision for building a Pakistan where every woman can live with dignity, safety, and hope, contributing to the welfare of their families and society. If the pilot project succeeds in Rawalpindi, the Benazir Kitchen Employment initiative will be implemented throughout the country, aiming to create broader opportunities for women’s employment and entrepreneurship.
