Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar, central president of the Private Schools Network, addressed the zonal annual Naat competition in Bhara Kahu as the chief guest and said that extracurricular activities are essential to polish children’s natural abilities. He emphasized that a Naat competition fosters love for the Prophet ﷺ and helps cultivate devoted, disciplined citizens from an early age.
Dr. Babar urged schools to begin talent development from the nursery level so that children grow into capable and practicing members of society. He also praised the newly elected Bhara Kahu zonal body for launching their three-year term with a successful program that highlighted student participation and community engagement.
The Private Schools Network Bhara Kahu zone organised the event, which saw lively participation across primary and secondary levels. At the primary level, the first position was awarded to Muhammad Sahil of Islamic Foundation School. The second position was shared by Maryam Rahman of Al-Falah Public School and Haniya Sadiq of Descent Public School. The third position went to Ali Mahdi of Cambridge School Siri Chowk and Arfa Nasir of The British School.
In the secondary category, Muhammad Mohsin of Younus Foundation School took first place, Ayan Ali of The British School secured second, and Azka Noor of Iqra Public School claimed third. The competition highlighted the breadth of student talent across local private schools in Bhara Kahu.
The panel of judges, Hafiz Tauqir Hussain Kazmi, Muhammad Talha and Samira Haroon, also presented naats during the event, contributing to the devotional atmosphere and motivating the young participants. At the conclusion, Dr. Babar, alongside zonal and central officials and the judges, presented certificates of appreciation and trophies to the position holders and participating students.
Organisers said the Naat competition underlined the role of cultural and religious activities in holistic education and affirmed the Private Schools Network’s commitment to nurturing student talent across Bhara Kahu and surrounding areas.
