Calligraphy Exhibition Honors Rasul ur Rahmah at Parliament House

Former National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf visited a remarkable calligraphy exhibition held at the Parliament House as part of the blessed events celebrating Rabi-ul-Awwal. The exhibition, titled “Rasool-ur-Rahmah,” marks the 1500th birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, showcasing the artistic creations of renowned calligrapher Wasal Shahid.

The display includes over forty unique calligraphic works crafted in the Thuluth, Nastaliq, and Kufi styles. Each piece features the blessed names and Quranic verses meticulously inscribed with gold leaf, reflecting both the artist’s creative skill and profound devotion. These masterpieces represent not only the rich tradition of Islamic calligraphy but also stand as testimony to the artist’s dedication and passion.

During his visit, Raja Pervez Ashraf emphasized the deep spiritual significance of love for the Holy Prophet and praised calligraphy as a beautiful expression of that devotion. He described the exhibition as a shining message of reverence and love for future generations.

The event attracted a large turnout, including members of the National Assembly, ministers, and attendees from various walks of life, who all commended the calligrapher’s artistic passion and craftsmanship.
