Driven by continuous learning, he completed a master’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2006 and that same year obtained a PNRA shift supervisor license, serving as shift supervisor until 2010. From 2010 to 2013 he was shift supervisor for the new C-2 plant and received multiple appreciation certificates for his service.

Between 2015 and 2020 Mr. Sajid led operations at the C-2 plant as Manager Operations, where under his leadership the facility achieved a historic run of 400 days of safe and continuous operation. Recognised for his contributions to national defence he received the Tamgha-e-Baqa in 2000 and a Gold Medal in 2012 for exceptional service in Pakistan’s nuclear power sector.

His technical and managerial skills saw him appointed Deputy Plant Manager at the Karachi 1100 megawatt nuclear project before taking charge as Plant Manager at C-1 in 2024. Under his stewardship C-1 again achieved a 400-day milestone of safe continuous operation. In 2025 he was assigned as Plant Manager at C-4, where he ensured reliable operations and fast-tracked building and development projects.

Mr. Sajid enhanced his professional expertise through advanced training in China, Japan, Australia and Korea, and his career reflects a balance of technical mastery and mentorship. Beyond plant duties he contributed to community development in the Chashma colony, supporting local welfare alongside his operational responsibilities.

Colleagues remember his dedication to learning and teaching, and his leadership has left a lasting mark on the Chashma Nuclear programme and Pakistan’s wider nuclear infrastructure.
